This morning a train car was blown up in the central railway station in Zugdidi (West Georgia). The train was getting ready to head to Tbilisi in two hours.

Interfax referring to “Georgian Railway” LLC informs explosive device was placed under the railing. As per preliminary data, it was TNT (trotyl).

The blast damaged the car, but passed over the main line. No passengers were reported in the train. The only man — conductor was shaken but unhurt.

Law enforcement agents are cuurently working on the site.
