Early this November the European Union (EU) is to present proposals concerning Association Agreements with Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia. At their meeting in Brussels on September 15 the EU Foreign Ministers made a relevant decision.

The participants in the meeting focused their attention on the ways of developing bilateral relations with the South Caucasus states as part of the EU-initiated Eastern Partnership project.

Following the meeting, Olli Rehn, European Commissioner for Enlargement, stated that negotiations can progress as considered necessary by the EU chairing country and EU-member-states until this November.

Late this September, EU top-ranking officials are to hold a meeting with their counterparts of the South Caucasus states. On September 26 and 27, the Armenian, Azerbaijani and Georgian Councils for Cooperation with EU are to discuss the issue.
