Georgian citizens will be refused Russia entry-permit through Russia-Azerbaijan border due to Georgia’s withdrawal from Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
RF MFA statement reads: “Georgia’s withdrawal from CIS on August 18, 2009 has automatically excluded citizens of the country from the list of foreign states granted with entry and exit permit through Russian-Azerbaijan border land check-points.”
Despite, Georgia’s withdrawal it continues to participate in around 70 CIS agreements.
