There is no reason to doubt that presently Armenia and Russia grow apart, the advisor of the RF Embassy in Armenia Viktor Krivopuskov stated at the press conference, September 17.

Commenting on the statement that Russia’s influence over South Caucasus and Armenia in particular might weaken after Armenian-Turkish border opening, Krivopuskov stated adding that it can happen if Russia stands still: “There is no reason for fear; one should merely make right decisions on time.”

“Interests of Armenia and Russia are historical and not exposed to conditions. Russia supports all statements on Armenia-Turkey border opening and Armenia’s plans on development of international relations,” RF Embassy advisor concluded.
