Today, at 6:40 p.m. many-thousand republic-wide rally of Armenian National Congress (ANC) headed by Former RA President Levon Ter-Petrosyan commenced near Matenadaran, Yerevan.

The rally speaker, Ararat Zurabyan, (Chairman of Armenian National Movement) assured the participants that due to selfless struggle, 15 political prisoners would be released in the near future.

Levon Zurabyan, the Head of ANC central office informed that Former MP Khachatur Sukiasyan was summoned by Special Investigation Service at 5:00 p.m. local time. According to him, this way authorities tend to prevent him from participating in the rally. Oppositionist expressed hope that Sukiasyan will manage to join them after the interrogation.

Zurabyan added that had recently returned from Los Angeles, where he met with U.S. Armenian community representatives. He said that this community awaits the victory of national movement, that gradually verges towards it.
