Oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC) celebrated Independence Day in the pouring rain.

Within recent years ANC celebrated it in prestigious halls, though this year all the halls were closed for them, one of the opposition representatives told NEWS.am.

First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan arrived to Saryan monument at 7:00 p.m. in the pouring rain, though it did not prevent the oppositionists from chanting “Levon-President” and “Free, Independent Armenia.” Due to the rain Levon Ter-Petrosyan did not deliver a speech, congratulating the participants he asked them to disperse.
