On February 22, Armenian Grandmaster Elina Danielyan won Marie Sebag (France) in the first round of the FIDE Women Grand Prix tournament in Doha, Qatar. Armenian Grandmaster Lilit Mkrtchyan ended in a draw with Pia Cramling (Slovenia).
On February 23, Danielyan will play with Maia Chiburdanidze and Mkrtchyan will face Antoaneta Stefanova (Bulgaria) in the second round of the tournament.
