The standpoints of the authorities’ and Armenian National Congress (headed by Levon Ter-Petrosyan) on Armenian-Turkish reconciliation are alike, Vahan Hovhannisyan ARF Dashnaktsutyun member stated at Sept. 22 press conference.

Hovhannisyan underlined that Ter-Petrosyan knows full well authorities’ policy is doomed to failure. ANC leader awaits breakdown to realize his political objectives. "Ter-Petrosyan looks forward to authorities’ failure to become ‘Papa’ of Armenian nation. Currently Armenian authorities pursue the policy that Ter-Petrosyan himself once meant to do. The latter impatiently waits for authorities’ fiasco to appear and state “bad guys failed everything and he is unable to remedy the situation,” Hovhannisyan concluded.
