ARFD does not demand Serzh Sargsyan’s resignation not to create unstable situation in the country and evade it from political shocks, ARFD member Ruzan Arakelyan told the journalists on September 24, 2009.

However, according to her, unlike RA President the Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan’s dismissal will not cause shocks and bring about significant changes in foreign policy.

“Heritage” faction member Zaruhi Postanjyan holds another view. ARFD does not claim the President’s resignation as it keeps on supporting Serzh Sargsyan, she noted.

“Not to claim Sargsyan’s removal means to be inconsistent and do not dot the i's”, Postanjyan noted. The latter expressed a regret Dashnaktsutyun undertakes crucial steps now, not ten years ago, when the grounds for current situation were set in.

Being in power ten years ago, Dashnaktsutyun tried to prevent actions that would confront Armenia with serious facts, ARFD member Ruzan Arakelyan concluded.
