Tigran Arakelyan, an oppositionist from Armenian National Congress (ANC) accused in beating up a police officer is on hunger strike, ANC Press Secretary Arman Musinyan informed NEWS.am.

“He is on hunger strike since yesterday. Presently his health level is satisfactory. Today Arakelyan should be taken to the court for extending his detention”, Musinyan added.
Recall, that Tigran Arakelyan is one of the victims of the police attack to the ANC activists, distributing leaflets for the July 2 opposition rally. Later he was detained for hooliganism, i.e. beating up a policeman.
