“We welcome RA President’s initiative to hold meetings in Diaspora for the discussion of Armenia-Turkey Protocols, that are in the framework of the internal political consultations,” Prosperous Armenia faction MP Aram Safaryan informed NEWS.am.
“I am confident, all-national issues should be agreed on in Armenia, Nagorno-Karabakh and Diaspora. Undoubtedly, Diaspora meetings are beneficial to learn the approach of at least half of Armenian people to the pending trend of political developments,” he outlined.
Asked whether Serzh Sargsyan will succeed in “finding a common ground” with Diaspora considering that opinions on Protocols vary, the MP replied that he does not think ARFD position is likely to change, however the dialogue with others will come out.
On September 27, 2009 Armenian three traditional parties: Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD), Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP) and Ramkavar-Azatakan Party will hold a joint rally against Armenia-Turkey Protocols in Los Angeles.
