Georgia welcomes resolution by the UN Security Council and military operation of the coalition forces in Libya, said Deputy Foreign Minister.

“Georgia backs world community’s decisions aimed at stabilizing the situation and establishing peace,” Nino Kalandadze told a briefing on Monday. However, the Georgian side expressed regret over death of civilians.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, on March 18 UN Security Council voted 10:0 for resolution demanding immediate ceasefire in Libya. The resolution was also backed by the European Union.
