Neither Armenian, nor Turkish constitution demands ratification of the Protocols by the Parliament. September 26, the Head of the Hay Dat (Armenian Cause) Office Giro Manoyan told the journalists, underlining that “Turkey succeeded in including the ratification provision in the documents, which means infinite protraction of the process.”
“It is absolute nonsense to consider Karabakh issue not mentioned in the Protocols an achievement. In the course of negotiations Turkey repeatedly speaks of Karabakh and we unfortunately obey,” Manoyan stated.
Presenting ARFD’s position on the issue, Manoyan underlined that Armenian side should not sign the Protocols without making certain amendments. If the Protocols are signed, they should not be submitted to ratification. According to him, Armenian Government should assume the responsibility partly, reserving the possibility of correcting the errors.
