According to Armenian News-NEWS.am, Judge Armen Bektashyan, who is a judge of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction and recently resigned from the Supreme Judicial Council, has been appointed judge of the Criminal Court of Appeal.

Based on Armenian News-NEWS.am's information, the Supreme Judicial Council nominated this very candidate to the President of Armenia, who issued an order on Bektashyan’s appointment.

The Supreme Judicial Council introduced judges to Bektashyan during an event held at the Criminal Court of Appeal today.

Armen Bektashyan had resigned from the Supreme Judicial Council on June 14.
