Armenian-Turkey reconciliation is beneficial both for Armenia and Turkey, the Chairman of NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit, Budgetary and Economic Affairs Gagik Minasyan stated, adding there is no provision in Armenia-Turkey normalization process, that might jeopardize Armenia’s interests.

According to Minasyan, a process taking the country to the history’s watersheds if succeeds, launched. “Meanwhile, it is evident that not all strata of our society definitely esteem this opportunity. Approaches differ also in Diaspora,” Minasyan added, referring to RA President’s Pan-Armenian tour starting October 1, 2009. “It is a praiseworthy mission that Serzh Sargsyan goes to discuss all-Armenian issues with Diaspora. The President will not meet local authorities, but hold talks with Armenian communities’ representatives.”

Gagik Minasyan made a point of the parliamentary hearings on Armenia-Turkey Protocols in this regard.
