“I am not a political force. It is political forces that are supposed to think of the means of raising a wave of protest,” the former Armenian foreign minister Vartan Oskanian told reporters, responding to a question about his view of “the ways and means” of raising and leading a wave of protest, considering the fact they are unavailable to him. Oskanian recently pointed out the necessity for protesting the Armenian-Turkish protocols, stating his readiness to lead the protests.

“I only said that it is an issue the public must have a clear opinion on. Political forces should think what they are to do. If it proves a success, I am ready to be on the front line. I have never said I want to raise a public wave myself. But I think that, with political will shown, and ambitions given up, it will be possible,” Oskanian said.
