Today OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Robert Bradtke (U.S.), Bernard Fassier (France) and Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia) arrived in Stepanakert to meet with NKR President Bako Sahakyan and Foreign Minister Gevorg Petrosyan.
At the press conference Yuri Merzlyakov expressed hope that the upcoming meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents in Chisinau will provide ground for further meetings.
Asked whether the main points of Karabakh conflict settlement principles were agreed, Merzlyakov replied: “We can assume so, the crucial points were clarified and agreed upon,” refusing to explain what principles he meant.
The Co-Chairs stated that Armenian-Turkish relations’ normalization is not linked with Karabakh peace process. In response to the question, when Karabakh will return to negotiation table, Fassier said: “It is a tough question, that does not depend on Co-Chairs only”, RFE/RL reports.
