Radio station Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) intends to launch broadcasting for South Ossetia and Abkhazia in a month. The headquarters in Prague made a decision to produce a program jointly by Georgian and Russia editorial staff. Daily one-hour program in Russian will be on air starting November 2, ITAR-TASS reports referring to radio station representative Martins Zvaners.

Andrey Babitskiy, who came to notice after interviewing Shamil Basayaev, assumed to manage the project.

Radio Liberty, funded by the U.S. Congress, is considered a pro-American organization, however the U.S. authorities do not recognize independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
