Protocols’ signing in Zurich determines actions of the parties in Armenian-Turkey normalization process, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Andrey Nesterenko stated at the October 8 press conference, Interfax reports.

“Protocols signing scheduled October 10 in Zurich, in our opinion shapes the parties’ actions in comprehensive reconciliation of intergovernmental relations between Armenia and Turkey”, Nesterenko said, adding that it is a consistent and long-overdue process.

“The establishment of good-neighborly relations between Armenia and Turkey will contribute to the lessening of tension, enhancing peace and security in Transcaucasian region,” the diplomat outlined.

According to him, Armenia-Turkey reconciliation will “bring to enlivening of trade relations and have a positive impact on both countries’ economies.”
