October 10, 2009 Armenians in the Greek part of Cyprus sent an open letter to the RA President Serzh Sargsyan expressing their concern over the Armenia-Turkey initialed Protocols, Kibrisgazetesi reported, referring to the Cypriot Simerini newspaper.

The letter read out by President of Armenian National Committee of Cyprus Akop Manoukian at the press conference, says: “Some provisions of the Armenian-Turkish Protocols constitute a threat to the Armenian issue. Certainly, Armenia has full right to establish diplomatic relations and have an open border, however there should be guarantees on Armenian issue and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In case the Protocols are signed you will jeopardize the whole Armenian nation, and there will be no way back.”
