An Armenian delegation formed of officials and journalists arrived in Zurich this morning. The delegation is staying at the Claridge Hotel Zurich.

The NEWS.am a signing ceremony of the Armenian-Turkish protocols is to be held at 5:00 p.m. local time (8:00 p.m., Yerevan time) at the University of Zurich. Also, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are to hold a meeting.

NEWS.am reminds the readers that the Swiss Foreign Office issued a statement confirming the place and date of signing of the Protocols on establishing Armenian-Trkish diplomatic relations and developing bilateral cooperation. The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs reported that a ceremony to mark the signing of the Protocols between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Turkey take place on Saturday, October 10, in Zurich.

Armenia’s Foreign Minister, Edward Nalbandian, and Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, will sign the Protocols in the presence of Swiss Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey. The signing ceremony will also be attended by US Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, the French Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner, the Slovenian Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Samuel Zbogar, and the Secretary-General of the Council of the European Union, Javier Solana, says the statement.
