The Armenia-Turkey football match will go down in history due to its exceptional importance, Şahabettin Harput, Governor of Bursa, told reporters.

According to him, the city will shown the best of its hospitality and national culture during the Armenian delegation’s stay. “I believe that friendship will win as a result of the match,” Mr. Harput said.

He pointed out that during their two-day stay in Bursa the Armenian delegation has got acquainted with the national culture, traditions, local peculiarities and population.

As regard security measures, Mr. Harput gave assurances that no incidents should be expected. He also commented on media reports on the delivery of 15,000 Azerbaijani flags to the city. “It is a mere provocation,” he said.

The NEWS.am correspondent reports from Bursa that at a meeting with journalists the Bursa Governor stated that the Turkish-Azerbaijani fraternity is no secret to anybody, but peace in the Caucasus meets the interests of all the countries of the region, and Turkey’s policy will be based on this principle.
