Russian Ambassador in Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin is against linkage of Armenian-Turkish reconciliation with Karabakh peace process. “We consider that the Armenian-Turkish border opening should not backpedal the process,” the Ambassador told Interfax.

“Saying there is no interconnection between the two processes, we mean Armenia-Turkey rapprochement should not impede Karabakh conflict settlement,” he added

Dorokhin recalled the final round of Karabakh talks was held in Chisinau and underlined that Russia as a mediator for Azerbaijan and Armenia stands for the resolution of the dispute under the international law.
