October 14, 2009 forty people were injured as an unidentified explosive device detonated in the centre of Chisinau, Moldova, Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca told the journalists.

According to the investigation, RGD grenade was activated during the City Day celebrations, IA REGNUM informs referring to the Mayor of city. More than forty people were hospitalized. Presently police tries to clarify blast causes.

Moldovan Foreign Minister Iurie Leanca does not rule out the version of terrorist act.
