90% of software products used in Armenia is illegal, reads the 2009 report by the Business Software Alliance (BSA).

According to the survey, Armenia is among the highest-piracy countries together with Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Moldova and Georgia, which tops the list. Azerbaijan ranks eighth with 88% software piracy rate.

Meanwhile U.S., Japan, New Zealand and Luxembourg are among the lowest-piracy countries, all near 20 %.

BSA 2009 report shows that 43% of software products used worldwide in 2009 was pirated, whereas losses of software companies were estimated at over $50bn.
