522,835 pensioners reside in Armenia as of January 1, 2010.
According to the RA National Statistical Service, 9,100 of them are war pensioner, the other 518,000 receiving insurance and social pensions.
Most of the pensioners, 180,700, reside in Yerevan, with 10,300 residing in the Vaiots Dzor region.
The average monthly pension is 24,500 AMD (about U.S. $63.1).
