RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, as well as representatives of 28 NATO member states participated in the North Atlantic Council meeting held n Brussels on May 12.
RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan delivered speeches at the meeting. Minister Nalbandian addressed various fields of the Armenian-NATO cooperation, foreign policy priorities, Armenia-Turkey reconciliation and possibilities for the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Seyran Ohanyan presented the reforms in Armenia’s security and defense systems.
NATO Deputy Secretary General Claudio Bisogniero and representatives of 14 member states highly assessed the results of Individual Partnership program, the reforms in Armenia and the country’s participation in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo and Afghanistan.
Earlier the RA Ministers met with Claudio Bisogniero and discussed Armenia-NATO cooperation under the Partnership for Peace and Individual Partnership programs. Edward Nalbandian and Seyran Ohanyan restated Armenia’s readiness to continue mutually advantageous cooperation with NATO.
