On May 15, Long Night of Museums was celebrated in forty countries worldwide dedicated to the International Day of Museums. It is the third year Armenia has participated in the event.

All the museums in Yerevan were open till 12:00 p.m. and displayed new exhibits. “This year the number of visitors to museums exceeded our expectations,” Hasmik Harutyunyan, deputy director of the National Gallery of Armenia told journalists on May 17. “We distributed 4,000 tickets to the visitors to know the number of visitors,” she said.

Astghik Marabyan, Director of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, said over 10,000 people visited the museum.
