According to a decision drafted by the RA Health Ministry, the RA Government has the right to set the highest limit for drugs prices, RA Minister of Health Harutyun Kushkyan stated in Parliament.

He noted that this decision will enable the Government to regulate the retail drug prices. “The sector has numerous problems. Consumer prices for drugs are often pushed up groundlessly and our decision will help regulate the situation,” said Kushkyan.

However, the Minister could not distinctly explain the reason why medical centers prefer spending budgetary funds to more expensive drugs.
