Kentron and Nork-Marash communities’ Court of General Jurisdiction noted a claim by Ararat scientific organization against Caucasus analytical institute.

Under the suit, Caucasus institute is obliged to refute the publications negating the fact of Genocide and hereafter not to strop the word Genocide. The judicial day is unclear yet.

Earlier, Ararat organization director Armen Ayvazyan stated the suit was filed, as the fact of Genocide was discredited in “Caucasian neighborhood: Turkey and South Caucasus” book published by “Caucasus” institute in 2008. The article by Turk Aybars Herkul in the book reads the word Genocide in quotes. Ayvazyan considers it a classical method of Genocide negation. He underlined that as the book was published in English, Russian and spread abroad, it will be negated also internationally.

Under 8 criteria of the European court on human rights, they reckoned that Armenia and its international image were impaired at AMD 20m. However, Ayvazyan said that they do not have financial claims and for damages at large they ask only token amount of one dram.
