Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said there has been a “crescendo of condemnation” against Syrian government not only from the world but from the region as well.
Talking at a joint press conference with Norwegian FM Jonas Gahr Stoere, Clinton once again urged President Bashar al-Assad to stop violence stressing he had “lost the legitimacy to lead, and it is clear that Syria would be better off without him.”
Hillary Clinton stressed that entire world, not only the United States, condemn Syrian government’s crackdown on protestors.
“And we’re making the case to our international partners to intensify the financial and political pressure to get the Syrian Government to cease its brutality against its own citizens and to make way for positive change,” she said.
