Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze and Vice-PM Georgy Baramidze will participate in the 10th Session of EU-Georgia Cooperation Council in Luxemburg.

Security in Georgia after August 2008 war and EU role in the international monitoring as well as further support to the security will be key points of the session agenda. European delegation will be headed by the Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt holding presidency in EU.

Further prospects on EU-Georgia relations’ acceleration and the agreement on associated membership that involves the free trade treaty and cooperation in the frames of Eastern Partnership will be also discussed

Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, the EU Commissioner responsible for External Relations and European Neighbourhood Policy Benita Ferrero-Waldner as well as EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby will participate.
