The issue of identifying the masterminds behind the October 27 crime remains on the agenda of the Heritage Party, says a statement issued by the party. The document particularly reads:

“Today is the 10th anniversary of the crime that shattered the foundations of Armenian nationhood. That terrible day eight loyal sons of the Republic of Armenia fell at the hands of criminals that were doing others’ will.

”History has repeatedly proved: as long as the Armenian nation is united it is invincible, but it suffered defeats because of internal disunity. We must not allow our own nationals to yield our impregnable fortresses and thousand-years-old capitals to the enemy, assassinate and alienate our leaders and appoint strangers in place of them.

“Now that a new threat in imminent, we, instead of meeting the internal and external challenges, we are sacrificing national interests for an empty idea of legitimating our own temporary power and for promoting our own interests.”

One of the reasons for this situation is that the October 27 crime has not been exposed: only the perpetrators were punished, but the masterminds are doing their “shady business” against the Armenian nationhood. The Heritage Party will never remove the issue of punishment of the masterminds behind the crime from its agenda, the statement says.
