The striking news that Iran is ready to cooperate with west in nuclear field appeared in the world press today. Iranian President stated that the country intends to build civil nuclear plants and work with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN's nuclear watchdog, the Guardian reports.

However, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad “insisted it had an &‘undeniable right’ to carry out atomic work”, the daily reads.

Speaking in the city of Mashad, Ahmadinejad said: “As long as this government is in power, it will not retreat one iota on the undeniable rights of the Iranian nation. Fortunately, conditions have been prepared for international co-operation in the nuclear field. We welcome co-operation on nuclear fuel, power plants and technology, and we are ready to co-operate,” the Guardian writes referring to Reuters.
