Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan leaves for United States Dec. 7 on the invitation of Barack Obama, TRT e-source informs referring to Turkish PM’s press service.

Turkey-America relations and global challenges will be in focus in Washington. The leaders will also exchange opinions on topical issues in the region.

“Turkey and U.S. maintain a comprehensive cooperation on Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle East, Balkan states, East part of the Mediterranean, and the Caucasus. Here also belongs the fight against terrorism, energy security, and counter-crisis measures,” the source quotes Erdogan’s statement.

As NEWS.am informed early, Erdogan was planning the visit to U.S. before October however the trip was postponed due celebration of the Day of Republic in Turkey. Meanwhile, Nethaber Turkish website informs Armenia-Turkey relations and the Karabakh issue will also be in focus.

Turkish PM will also convey a message from Iran to U.S. President.
