November 3, 2009 a major fire broke out in a two-storied operation material store in Vyborg district, St. Petersburg.
Combustion alert was received at 9:30 p.m. local time. The fire spread to two other buildings some time later. More than 30 fire teams were operating in the accident site to fire suppression, that covered 6.000 m2 area, Interfax reports.
According to the RF Emergency Situations Ministry, presently the fire in the facility is localized. Two people with severe burns on hands and faces were hospitalized.
