According to Hayk daily, the situation heated up after Armenian side tried to place frontier markers and faced confrontation from Georgian side. Meanwhile, the head of RA National Security Service (NSS) press service Artsvin Baghramyan stated that incident was a entailed by engineering works on demarcation. “Presently engineering works on demarcation are conducted, it was just a matter of measurement,” said Baghramyan, adding that such cases usually occur in the course of demarcation.
