November 6, 2009 a bus accident killed at least 22 people and wounded 48 others in Himachal-Pradesh state, northern India.

The regular bus heading from Dekhra to Nagrota-Surian plunged into the mountain gorge, ITAR-TASS reports. According to AP, death toll reached 32.

Under preliminary data, overspeeding caused the accident, that went out of driver’s control. AS a result it fell down the 30-meter gorge.

Over seventy passengers were in the bus. Presently, the local police carries out rescue operations of the injured and the retrieval of victims’ bodies.
