November 9, 2009 6.7 magnitude strong earthquake hit central part of Indonesia wounding 40 people, ITAR-TASS informs.
According to Russian Mayak radio, two victims and dozens of wounded in the earthquake.
The quake epicenter was at the depth of 18 km beneath the ocean bottom 15 km north-west of Sumbava Island. No tsunami hazard was reported.
