Hurricane Ida in El Salvador has already took lives of 124 people. About 70 are reported missing. Authorities of the Republic have announced the state of emergency.

At the extraordinary session of the Cabinet of Ministers, the President Mauricio Funes said the hurricane has caused “unaccountable” damage.

Ida currently is moving along the Gulf of Mexico at a speed of 160 km/h. Hurricane updates are issued from Louisiana to Florida, RIA Novosti informs.

As NEWS.am informed early, the Ida hurricane ripped into Nicaragua Nov. 5 at an initial speed of 120 km/h damaging homes and infrastructure. Over 40,000 people were evacuated.
