Ankara should not link the Armenia-Turkey normalization process to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh process, RA Foreign Minister Edard Nalbandian stated in his interview with the Japanese Yomiuri newspaper. He pointed out that such a position is one more obstacle to settling the conflict.
He reminded the reporter of the OSCE Minsk Group for the conflict settlement co-chaired by Russia, France and the USA, which is making progress. If Turkey links the bilateral relations to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, it will only cause harm, Nalbandian said.
The Armenian FM stressed that Ankara and Yerevan agreed to establish relations without any preconditions. “We, however, intend to continue our policy of getting the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire internationally recognized,” Nalbandian said.
