On September 19, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received US Deputy Secretary of State Joshua Huck. This is reported by the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The interlocutors discussed the bilateral agenda, as well as regional issues. Both sides emphasized the importance of joint efforts towards the development of strategic partnership, a new milestone in the bilateral relations between Armenia and the United States, as well as outlined the upcoming plans. Along with deepening the political dialog, he also mentioned the opportunities for expanding cooperation in sectoral areas, including the development of trade.

Minister Mirzoyan noted. “The relations between our countries have recently been developing with intense dynamics, filled with new content, built on strategic dialog, and we are interested in continuing active cooperation in various directions.”

In the context of regional issues, Ararat Mirzoyan and Joshua Huck discussed issues related to the regulation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The RA Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of avoiding artificial obstacles on the way to the conclusion of the peace treaty, which was elaborated after two years of negotiations and signing of the agreed text aimed at ensuring lasting peace in the South Caucasus.

Minister Mirzoyan reaffirmed Armenia's interest in unblocking regional communications on the basis of known principles.
