YEREVAN. – “We have always said that the power belongs to the people, and if the people are not given the chance to form their power by way of constitutional elections, the people will compel, apply pressure, and attain result by force, and not by an armed revolution. We continue to believe that there should not be an armed revolution,” opposition People’s Party of Armenia Political Board member Grigor Harutyunyan told Aravot daily, commenting on opposition Armenian National Congress Coordinator Levon Zurabyan’s statement that, “since the authorities do not wish to leave peacefully, we will do that next year, by force,” Aravot writes.
