YEREVAN. – As a result of pension reforms, a huge army of reflective, analyzing, and predictive people will be formed in Armenia, PM Tigran Sargsyan stated, in the capital Yerevan on Friday, addressing a conference on pension reforms.   

As per Sargsyan, by opening pension accounts in investment funds, the people will follow the activities of the given fund, and they will be demanding toward the fund and the state alike. “We are creating an environment of free-thinking people,” PM said.  

Tigran Sargsyan also noted that the new pension system will enable the pensioners to reduce the risks.

Armenia’s PM recalled that the mandatory pension system also assumes one united social tax, which will replace the two current taxes: income tax and social security payments.
