Second time ever in its history, FC Gandzasar of Armenia’s Kapan city became bronze medalist in the country’s Premier League.   

 “Gandzasar had a good season. Using its whole potential, the team was able to capture third spot and qualify for the European league. But if I were to give a real assessment to the team’s game, I would have to say Gandzasar was not ready to contend for the champion’s medal. So, the bronze medal is a success for the team,” said Gandzasar’s head coach, Abraham Khashmanyan.       

And as per the squad’s executive manager Vladimir Arakelyan, now the team’s task is to better its third-place result.

And the team’s most experienced player, Artur Kocharyan, said: “The championship’s results are not bad for Gandzasar; the team won a prize. But third place likewise allowed us to play in Europe.”
