MOSCOW. - CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) Collective Security Council session started in Moscow. Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan, who is in the Russian capital on a working visit, is also attending the event.

After the welcoming ceremony, limited- and, subsequently, extended-format meetings were held. Also, joint documents are expected to be signed and a press conference is scheduled to be held, Armenian News-NEWS.am’s reporter informed from Moscow. 

The session participants will focus on increasing the Organization’s potential and on matters of consolidation, including in the context of the accordance, which was reached during CSTO leaders’ informal meeting that was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, on August 12-13. 

Also at the session, CSTO Chairmanship will pass from Belarus to Kazakhstan.
