The bill banning Armenian Genocide denial was adopted by a majority of votes, French Le Figaro writes.
MPs from the Union for a Popular Movement (UPM), New Centre, Socialist Party and Communist Party voted for the bill.
UPM members Jacques Myard, Lionel Tardy, Michel Diefenbacher, Jean-Philippe Maurer and Jean Bardet voted against.
