The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) published the list of nominations for its award.

British critics consider leading is “The Artist” by Michel Hazanavicius which has 12 nominations. Actors Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo are represented in the appropriate nominations, the BBC News reports.

The second candidate for the Best Film nomination is “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” by Tomas Alfredson.

Meryl Streep is nominated as the best actress for her role in “The Iron Lady”.

George Clooney is among the nominated as well.
