The U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan awaits for the White House to announce the new Ambassador's name, Terry Davidson, Public Relations Officer to the U.S. Embassy in Azerbaijan, told reporters.

Washington is considering the candidacies, and there should not be any speculation on the matter despite the fact that the new ambassador is not yet appointed.

Davidson said that the White House is going to appoint new US ambassadors to a number of countries. He pointed out that the Azerbaijan-U.S. cooperation is progressing, though the new Ambassador has not yet been appointed.
