NEW YORK. – American Armenians and Americans, who stand for the recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, will gather at Times Square, New York on April 22 in order to commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide and to condemn the crime committed in the Ottoman Empire.

The action at Times Square will take place for the 27th time. This year the slogan of the action will be ‘Turkey is guilty for the Genocide. Denying the undeniable is also crime’, Armenian Reporter writes.

To note, number of countries have already recognized the Armenian Genocide. Uruguay was first to recognize the Armenian Genocide in 1965. Russia, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden, Greece, Cyprus, Lebanon, Canada, Venezuela, Argentina and 42 US States also recognized the Genocide of Armenian nation in the Ottoman Turkey. Vatican, the European Parliament and the World Union of Churches also recognized the fact of Armenian Genocide.
